Helen Werner

President

Helen Werner is the founder of The Marigold Foundation and mother to William, Theodore, Holden, and Hugo. Helen has her PhD in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and is an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department at Beloit College. She brings her drive, passion, smarts, and love of her sons to the foundation.


Zach Werner

Treasurer

Zach Werner is the co-founder of the Marigold Foundation and is an administrator by day and musician by night. Zach’s experience with banking helps him maintain the foundation’s financials and maintain our records. Zach brings his frugality and love of numbers to the foundation, as well as his love of his children.


Cynthia lamorgese

Vice President

Cynthia LaMorgese is a child psychiatrist in the Madison area who cares deeply about improving the lives of children. She is the mother to Gabriel and Michael and two angels in heaven. Cynthia brings her compassion, her brilliant event planning skills, and her medical knowledge to the Marigold Foundation, as well as her love for her angels and her godson Holden.


tiffany wogsland

Tiffany Wogsland has served as a birth and bereavement doula for over ten years. Her social work background and passion for supporting families during pregnancy has allowed her to walk alongside of families during some of their most sacred moments. She also holds a Masters Degree in Education and serves as a teacher at a local elementary school.  


REBECCA MARKERT

Rebecca is mother to Lily, Dexter, Audrey, Owen and Jaxon. After Lily was stillborn, she became very active in the bereaved parents community, doing peer to peer support, educational programs for health care providers, and lobbying for the rights of bereaved parents at the state and federal levels. She's also the facilitator of a local pregnancy after loss group, Rainbow Pregnancies of Madison, and serves as secretary for the national Pregnancy After Loss Support nonprofit group. She holds a JD from Roger Williams University School of Law and is the legal director at FFRF, a national nonprofit group based in Madison, Wisconsin. She brings the love of her children and her legal and nonprofit experience to the foundation.
